Have you ever felt an earthquake shake?
What have you done during those moments?
International guidelines recommend seeking shelter under a table: we've designed an extremely sturdy table (as well as a bed and wardrobe) capable of withstanding building collapses caused by earthquakes.
Too many people still suffer from poorly constructed buildings that aren't earthquake-proof. A temporary solution, pending structural retrofitting, is Lifeshell: released under the CC-BY 4.0 license, anyone in the world can build and even sell it.
It’s an anti-seismic furniture
A safe shelter. For home, school, workplace.
An everyday piece of furniture that turns into a shelter during seismic activity.
It can be a wardrobe, a bed, a table or a desktop. It is built by using Cross Laminated Timber, a wood engineered product.
Bottom up approach
Students were involved in perfectioning the Lifeshell concept, suggesting improvements and accessories.

Dynamic tests
We've severely tested the prototypes and standard desk too to ensure a very high impact resistance.
